Our family extends a welcome to your family -
The Maypearl Church of Christ is truly a family. Members of our family come from Maypearl and communities within twenty-five miles of Maypearl. Some are young and some are old. We cry together, laugh together, rejoice together, pray together and praise together.
The community of Maypearl is a wonderful place to live. It seems that in recent years it has had its share of pain as some of its youngest citizens have been struck down by auto accidents as well as other tragedies, but each time such an event occurs, the community comes together to show its concern for the family that has lost a loved one. Churches and other community organizations stand ready to help.
We at the Maypearl Church of Christ want you to know that we do see ourselves as a family without walls. We welcome others to come share with us, and want all to know that we are here to help.
The Maypearl Church of Christ will not judge you by color, wardrobe or social standing. Jesus and his priorities are of central concern to us. We give more than lip service to "Jesus as the Way, the Truth and the Life". He said, "I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly".
We have found His words to be true in our church family and believe them to be true for all who will accept Him.
If you have teens, we have a large and thriving group of teens. Their activities consist of work, fun, study, prayer and wonderful friendships that develop and support one another.
Our younger children feel very much at home and happy in church. Our Bible teachers are nearly all schoolteachers thus well trained to teach. Perhaps even more important our classes are small enough that each child gets personal attention and basks in the warmth and love so readily evidenced by teacher and children alike.
Adult studies are biblical and rich in practical application as well.
The minister of the Maypearl Church of Christ was born and reared in Maypearl and loves the community. The past twenty-eight years he has served as a teacher and administrator at the Center for Christian Education, a ministry designed to educate ministers in churches of Christ. Now he is back home in Maypearl and loving it.
